Novak Djokovic Wins Five Set Thriller Against Juan Martin Del Potro in Wimbledon Semis

Novak Djokovic maintained his composure and tenacity to fend off the mighty groundstrokes of eighth seed Juan Martin del Potro, winning the longest ever Wimbledon semi-final 7-5 4-6 7-6(2) 6-7(6) 6-3 in front of a spellbound Center Court crowd. The injured Juan Martin Del Potro proved to be a tougher opponent against the number seed Djokovic. Del Potro who injured his knee in the fourth and reinjured the same during his quarterfinal match against David Ferrer, pounded the balls mercilessly to dismantle Djokovic defense. But in the end it was Djokovic's consistency that prevailed, Del Potro may have saved two match points to take the fourth set but it was not enough to stop Djokovic. Djokovic unleashed a backhand winner down the line to finish the fifth set to set a dream final against Andy Murray.
